Summer to Fall Must Haves

Summer to Fall Must Haves
I love when my September issues start arriving with the promise of new trends, and things I must have. Oh - but wait- I am on a budget (at least if my child wants to go to college someday). So that editorial D & G floral dress is just not going to work for me; I might look a little crazy wearing it to the playground. So I reassess, what is in my closet and how can I work it through the year? Do these items look familiar...yes! These are things that I - and you -likely already own and can easily mix and match to meet the crazy fall temps. I am crazy for this Kate Spade tote. I own similar in beige. But could it look any more Chanel at about 1/5th of the cost? And the chambray shirt just keeps getting better every time you wash it after getting some type of child hand print on it. Sad summer is leaving, but can't wait to start layering! What are your thoughts super chic moms?

Summer to Fall With Color

Summer to Fall With Color
Fall usually calls to mind earth tones and wooly layers - but wait - summer isn't over yet! I am so loving bright colors to make the transition from summer to fall. Plus with the bright colors, your kids will definitely be able to locate their mommy ASAP when they are running around at the playground. Plus, these pieces are all so versatile and will mix and match. So bring on the bright color cords!

Fall Sneak Peek: Cap Toe Shoes

Fall Sneak Peek: Cap Toe Shoes
I have always been a fan of Coco Chanel who practically invented the cap toe pump. So I am so excited to see these popping up on celebs and in the mags. I I love the new twist of the metallic toe cap, but nothing can beat a classic black/white or beige/black combination. I thought these only existed at a higher price point but found these options all under $125. The cap toe shoe really is a super chic wardrobe staple for moms and all.

Best Summer Mom Makeup Finds

Best Summer Mom Makeup Finds
While I love a good drugstore find, I have to admit some of my fave products are from the pricier Sephora or Ulta Chain stores. The plus with these stores is they take back anything, even just for the reason you don't like it. I also love that you can actually preview colors and product before you buy. I am loving the above products because they are easy to use, great colors, and also have function. The products: 1) Anastasia Beverly Hills Eye Shadow: great palette of colors with just enough sparkle. I use the dark brown shade and an eyeliner brush to line my lids for a softer more natural effect. The dark blue and turquoise are just colorful enough so you can work a that blue shadow trend in a chic way ( not the 1980's way). I swear this stuff has decreased my drooping eyelids! 2) Tarte Mascara: it's not water proof, but it doesn't run and really stays on. It actually has improved my lash condition...and I always curl first..it makes a huge difference! 3) Nars Orgasm Blush: the perfect shade and really does look good on everyone. 4) Smashbox Limitless Lip Gloss: It lasts hours, doesn't cake, and has SPF 15 so you don't fry. What are some of your faves?
